Last May, the Santander Convention Bureau became the venue for the 34th Convention of OPC España.
A great opportunity to show the effort and enthusiasm that we put in every day to show that Santander is the perfect setting to hold any type of event, as we offer different infrastructures and services that adapt to make an event, in any area, innovative, safe, sustainable, elegant and technological.
Today we are working alongside OPCE Cantabria to offer our partners an enriching experience aimed at strengthening the professional image of Spanish OPC companies.
At Santander Convention Bureau we consider it essential to ensure the institutional relations between the Federation and the official bodies that are considered of great interest for business tourism. It is essential to achieve a synergy amongst the OPC companies that are members of OPC España and to give visibility to the professional organisers and their role within the MICE sector.
One of our work routes lies in positioning Santander as the perfect destination for holding scientific and healthcare events. In fact, we collaborate with one of the top hospitals in our country, the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital.
At Santander Convention Bureau we support this healthcare body, offering institutional support, technical advice, along with audiovisual and tourism content. Our city is a destination with great potential for this type of convention and we have a very good brand image, in addition to important resources that are highly valued in the MICE sector.
For this reason, Santander has been chosen to be the venue for the Annual Medical Education Convention (CEM in its Spanish initials) of the State Council of Medical Students (CEEM in its Spanish initials) in September of next year.
At Santander Convention Bureau we work not only in the professional area, but also on incentives and post-convention activities, a key element in our sector, as another of our goals is for Santander to be discovered in all its splendour.
